So how long did/is it taking you to get a new passport?

Sent by courier 3 weeks ago and not yet acknowledged online. I know it's arrived as confirmed by the courier company.

Mike - I've read up on that and I wouldn't qualify. Wanting a spare because 'I sometimes apply for visas and the processing time might impact on a weekend away/football' isn't really what a second passport is intended for.

A colleague's son got his renewal back today, two week after applying online.

Get a second. Perfectly legit if you explain to the administrators why you need it.
That way if you need to send a passport away to get a visa stuck in it for your next destination, you still have a valid one with you.
I'm sure the only jet-setter on the site will confirm that.

Woodford, received my Son's today, 2 days after the "Being Printed notification" so you should hopefully be okay. Took them a while altogether (well 25 days) as the application was made on the 3rd but once they got going it was quite quick.

Woodford… I got my ‘approved’ text on Saturday, printed Tuesday and delivered yesterday (Wednesday)… 9 days after applying!

I renewed my one last August in anticipation of the Euro campaign. It only took about three weeks to get it back, but at that time there were still travel restrictions and I guess people weren’t renewing for that reason.

Just got an email 15 minutes ago so going by Puddleford it should be here by Monday.....we leave for Frankfurt on Tuesday afternoon!

Blimey, that's going to be a worrying time! I was worried about getting mine back from the US Embassy and I pretty much knew that would be this week. I don't like my passport being out of my possession/control.

Ours expired two years ago and we haven't bothered to renew before. We applied online for 4 passports a month ago and got the first today. The rest have all been printed and are on their way!

Mine was about the same as Syd, Woodford so it will be a tight run thing......and if it is in time make sure he signs it!

Trundle – For me it was a renewal
Woodford Green – For me it was 8 days from notification of approval and going to print until it arrived. You get another notification saying it has been printed about 2 days before it comes. The online tracking works very well.
Royal Dock. Do you not think you had better get on with it?

got an update yesterday for my sons renewal and said application approved and passport is due to be printed.
Any idea how long it takes from this point to arrive? He needs it for Frankfurt next week.

I've had to order my youngest their first one today, so I'll tell you when that arrives.
Are all those who are getting their delivered in 10 or so days renewals, or were there any getting their first ones?
